Front Load vs Top Load: Which Washing Machine Is Right for You?

Fully automatic washing machines come in two designs. Both are convenient; they differ in wash care, water use and where they fit in your home.
Front load
Front loaders tumble clothes gently, use less water and usually offer more wash programs and higher spin speeds — great for fabric care and drying time.
Top load
Top loaders are easy to load without bending, let you add clothes mid-wash and typically cost less. They suit busy households that wash every day.
Choosing a capacity
- 6–7 kg: 2–3 people
- 7–8 kg: 3–5 people
- 8 kg and above: larger families, bedding and blankets
Living in a humid city or short on drying space? A clothes dryer finishes the job in under an hour.
